Tony Yankovich is the Director of Advisory Services for Ron Turley Associates (RTA). He has over 30 years of experience in the fleet industry and municipal operations. For the last two decades Tony has helped over 400 organizations improve their fleet operations. Working with fleets from 25 vehicles to fleets with over 200,000 assets, Tony is considered one of the most experienced fleet consultants in North America. He has a track record of successfully assisting fleet owners lower costs and improve service levels. Yankovich is known for his strategic vision, innovative thinking, and ability to help organizations implement change. He has also authored several fleet related publications, has presented at many fleet conferences over the years, and is a regular contributor to RTA’s Fleet Success blogs and the Fleet Success Show podcast. He started his fleet career when he worked for the City of Kansas City, KS and the Unified Government of Wyandotte County and Kansas City, KS where he held several management positions in the Public Works and Public Safety areas. He was also the fleet asset manager for the City’s fleet of 1,200 vehicles and pieces of equipment. Tony’s areas of expertise include fleet program evaluation; shop productivity and competitiveness assessments; fleet renewal planning; fleet maintenance facilities assessments, facilities space needs assessments and master planning; and customer service management. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Personnel Administration from the University of Kansas. He is also a certified VMRS specialist and has achieved formal certifications in Demand and Capacity Management for Operations; Learning the AWS Well-Architected Framework; How to Think Strategically; and others.
